Rosella Farmer Gallery
I was born and raised in Woodstock, Ontario and went to Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Art had always been something that has fascinated me, but I did not start painting until I was in my late 20’s. I joined a small art club in Scarborough, Ontario and was encouraged to start doing portraits in soft pastel. This began a life long love of working in pastel. I joined the Charleswood Art Group about 10 years ago so that I could learn about watercolor. Since then, I have also tried my hand with acrylics, pen and ink and mixed media. To me, color is all important and I am continually learning how to use it and learn the properties of the different mediums. I became a member of the Manitoba Society of Artists in 2010 and have served as the membership chair for the last year. Contact the artist at rosellaf@shaw.ca
