I was born and raised in Winnipeg, but spent twenty-six years with my family in Montreal before retiring back to my home town in 2006. I graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Nursing degree and have enjoyed a varied nursing career.
While in Quebec, I became a signature member of the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada and a juried member of the Artists Association of Dollard. I was honoured to have my pastel "WinterWalk" published in MagazinArt Winter 2005/2006 as part of the article "Pastel Enjoys a Renaissance" by Marilyn-Ann Ranco. Since returning to Winnipeg, I've joined Pastel Artists Canada and, in 2007, I became a member of the Manitoba Society of Artists.
Art has always been part of my life, and, although I've tried different media, dry pastel, with its rich colours and endless variety of applications, is my passion! My choice of subjects is varied, as you can see, and I love the challenge of commissioned work as well.
