My landscapes have been devoted in large part to the threshold where the land meets the water and the air - the permanence of the earth against the mutability of water in the context of the boundless prairie sky. My subjects include humanity, in particular, displaced and poor individuals outside the mainstream of society. My art - whether landscapes or portraits, are regionally based in Manitoba- the fair middle of Canada.
Luba is a member of Local Colour Art Group, Gwen Fox Gallery and Manitoba Society of Artists, of which she is currently membership chair. |
